Congratulations to you Kevin Bunger…Our Spotlight Athlete for September!! Kevin has earned the utmost respect from our Coaches and all of his peers. He is a true example of “no excuses”….starting his first day of CrossFit with a cast on his foot and continuing with that boot in every workout! We are very proud of Kevin. He is an inspiration to everyone! Here is what Kevin had to say………….. “When Did you start CrossFit? April 2015 Why Did you start CrossFit? I was involved in a work related injury that left me with a broken right foot. I knew I needed to do something to avoid gaining any extra unnecessary weight as I sat around as my foot was healing. So my wife, who had been trying for over a year to get me to join her in her crossfit journey, recommended I give it a try. What keeps you coming back/motivated? Crossfit has become an addiction, my mind and my body are not the same without it. I look forward to each days’ WOD and working out with all the great members of our box. My motivation comes from a number of things which include our awesome coaching staff that is always there to make sure I get “one more rep”. Also the changes I see physically helps too. What is the best thing you have gotten out of doing CrossFit? I am getting my health back and have met a lot of great people. What is the one thing you have done here that you never thought you could do? A 335lb deadlift as my first PR. What is one goal you have reached? And one goal you still hope to reach? 5 unassisted pull-ups. Bar muscle-up. How has your diet changed since starting CrossFit? SIGNIFICANTLY, I’ve cut out a lot of unnecessary junk food and learned that what I put into my body really effects my workout. What is your favorite workout? Least favorite workout? DT, Karen”
